Iwas born to say HOOK EM!!Had a cousin that played on the 68 National Championship team.He be the one that caught the 4th and long pass that set up the winning TD against Arkansas.

You're kin to Randy Peschel? The year was 1969, BTW, but that was some kind of catch. It was fourth down and either three or four and nobody thought Royal would let James Street (great at running the Wishbone, but with not much of an arm) pass, much less throw the long bomb.

DK Royal always said there were three things that could happen when you passed the football and two of them were bad. Shows how desperate the situation had become.

I would imagine Royal has mixed emotions at the emergence of Vince Young today. He was probably a Mock fan, being the traditionalist he is.

I was just reading earlier today the rantings of a poster called "lobo4life" on an East Texas sports site who had assured everyone some days ago that Mock, the second-leading passer in the nation (big whoop), would start every game from now until he graduates. All VY fans were more or less advised to stick it where the sun don't shine.

I at least root for all Big XII schools when they play out of conference opponents, but to blindly hate a team? What's up with that. Do you have some personal animosity towards them or are you just glad to have a good coach that doesn't pay his players?!? (Barry Switzer) :D :D :D
