SO....here are a few things I took away from week 4.

Districts 22, 26, 27 and 31 went 0-fer this week. Not a single win in these districts. Districts 15 and 25 only had one team win out of the each district.

There are a couple of 4-0 teams that you don't hear much about....and a couple that I'd never of expected at the start of the season, while on the flip side...a couple of teams I half expected to do something are 1-3, etc.

4-0's I didn't see coming: Whitesboro (on a side note..there are three 4-0 teams in this district including Celina and Frisco Wakeland), Diboll (haven't really heard this name in some time), Columbus (witnessed them take down district fav. Needville tonight), Crystal City (they are 4-1...but still), Progresso (also 4-1)

1-3's, etc: Monahans (expected them to be better), Dallas Madison (they're 0-4), Atlanta (1-4), Rockdale (1-4), Jasper (1-3), Bridge City (0-4), Wharton (0-4), and on a side note...its not normal to see Port Isabel w/ the worst record in their district.

Everyone in District 29 is either 4-1 or 1-4....OOOH!! that's a goocher!! :D

District 15...Gilmer is undefeated...the next best record in their district is 3-2.

Every team in D29 won.

Who's stock's up?: Clyde, Whitesboro, Columbus, Madisonville, Kirbyville, Devine, Progresso.

Who's stock's down: Tex L/E, Pleasanton, Lytle, Jasper, Palestine, Vernon, Prosper, Andrews.

Sometimes things aren't what they seem....other times...they're EXACTLY what they seem.

What did YOU notice in week 4? Thoughts? Comments?

Thanks :)

Maybe wimberley is better than i thought to....

The Medina Valley Panthers are now 1-4 after being in some preseason polls as high as 20. They were dominated last night by the 4-1 HONDO OWLS. 504 yds of offense to just 163 in a 40-23 whoopin'. The Panthers returned a kickoff for a TD and scored late in the 4th qtr to make the final score closer than the game actually was. Owls next victim - Poteet Aggies who at 3-2 have a RB who has already rushed for over 1,000 yds this year.

Regarding Andrews, I think you are working on a score that got turned around. Andrews won last night over Seminole 25-21. That makes them 5-0. They have had impressive wins over Midland Christian (36-6, Week 0) and Monahans (41-13, Week 3), but evidently didn't look so impressive in wins against Pecos (14-0 in Week 1, though they only played one half because of lightning), 27-13 win over Ft. Stockton in Week 2, and last night's win over Seminole 25-21.

I was wondering about that....thought to myself "how in the heck did they lose this game" Thanks GWOOD!

Sure. By the way. Good info that you have given. I keep up with most of Region 1 but not too much with the other regions. I like a condensed version for the rest of the state.:D

This is only temporarily, you'll see how things change once district rolls around and head towards the playoffs. (this Tarpon edition, could of easily been 4-0 right now)

Rockdale has played a pretty tough schedule. Losses coming to Gonzales, Madisonville, China Spring, and Caldwell.

Their next couple of games are; Robinson, Liberty Hill, and Hutto!

Snyder's Will Clay has also rushed for over 1000 yds in the first 5 games. Snyder is currently 4-1 with a loss to Monahans which will be avenged if Monahans makes the playoffs.
