I didn't call it a fluke. I said nobody's gonna believe in Clyde until they consistently show they've turned the corner. and the first thing you're gonna hear is about the 7 or so Vernon turnovers.

oh ok,
it's true, their turnovers were a big part in it, but mostly because the defense caused them.
i think we are finally getting on track in our program,
clyde-wylie should be a heck of a game

Vernon des erves to lose and Clyde has been waiting on a W against Vernon. 7 TO's can be fixed and sorry I dont think Clyde's defense had anything to do with it, I have seen this team and they shoot themselves in the foot even without any help which is a far bigger problem. 7 to's, cant beat anyone doing that. Clyde fans sould be happy, you stll needed to play good Football to win and you did and should be happy. Vernon is at a different level, we dont care about winning in the regualr season as long as we get better and are 100% by playoff time. Clyde has a long way to go but this is a real good step in the righ direction.

I dont think it is fair to say that players dont care about winning the non-district games. They prepare each week to go out and win if they dont then they should'nt be out there. We executed very poorly tonight and with that many turnover's its hard to overcome, no excuse there. Vernon started very slow last week at Decatur so maybe this was the icing on the cake. Hopefully the Lions can regroup and be ready for Breckenridge. Congrats to Clyde on a big win for them.

Well if you don't care about winning in the regular season why even show up for the games? I'm certain that the players and coaches there don't feel that way.

I was talking to my dad last night (he lives in Breckenridge) and he said Clyde would beat Vernon. He thinks Clyde will win district with Wylie coming in second and Sweetwater and Breck fighting for 3rd....:D :D

I attended the game and it was worth the 3 and a half hour drive from Lubbock. Clyde's defense came up big!!! They kept puttin their hats on the ball and it kept squirtin' out.lol And their were several big interceptions. Another thing, Curtis Kevil is a freakin beast!!! He tore up the Vernon D, breakin tackle and truckin people. Great win for the club, hats off to Coach Slaughter. Now I wonder if they r gonna start turnin some heads???:clap:

Now..Now....sure Clyde beat Vernon...but the district championship still goes through Abilene or Sweetwater...

Props to Clyde. I was at the LACK OF DEFENSE BOWL between Abilene High and Denton Ryan and at halftime they gave a Clyde score with Vernon leading 21-20. When I got home and saw 39-21, I shazzed myself.

I didnt think it would happen but Clyde proved that they are competitive and winners. Looking forward to the battle in Abilene in two weeks.

Iv'e been saying vernon was overrated this whole year, don't put too much credit into this win. Clyde will still get steamrolled by sweetwater and wylie.
