when was the consolidation?
I have a coworker in his mid 40's and he went to Rice Consolidated and grew up in Garwood.

Wouldn't Sheridan just be close enough to go to Halletsville?

The school consolidated in 1971. My brother was in the first graduating class, and my Dad was the first board President. The reason for the consolidation was because Eagle Lake needed a new high school. They decided since the three communities were growing smaller to combine the three and place the high school in Altair which is equal distance between the three. And as far as any of three ever making the playoffs, I don't think that ever happened. But, I could be wrong. Eagle Lake may have, but not Garwood or Sheridan.
As far as Cook's numbers go this year....the Raiders are running a multiple offense. Alot more running the ball. Cook running the ball more. He has nothing to prove as far as his numbers go....he already has his D1 commit. He is focusing on winning games, not padding his stats. He is a great leader for this team and will have success on the collegiate level.
