Greenwood vs. Levelland

[GWOOD]

We don't hear a lot about Levelland on the Downlow. They are 2-2. Lost to two Top 25 2A schools (Stratford 16-8, Idalou 28-6), beat 2A Denver City 43-20 and Lamesa 39-6.

Greenwood coach said their offensive line won regionals in powerlifting and that they have a very quick running back. Can be dangerous.

Greenwood has won 3 in a row after an opening game loss to Graham 20-0. They have beat two weak 4A schools (25-16 over Lubbock Estacadao and 35-28 over SA Lake View) and beat Crane, a good 2A school, 17-14 on a last minute FG. QB Colton Wilber came back last week and, on an injured knee, directed a game winning drive in a minute and a half with 3 completions and several rushes for big gains. He will be ready to play this week against Levelland.

Levelland only fields a good football team about once every 10 years or so, and I think it's only been 3 or 4 since their last good one.

LOL!! I was just SO glad when Ashton showed me what "T9" was all about...that made a big difference.

With all due respect GWOOD, you're giving Levelland too much credit. Stratford and Idalou are two good 2A programs.... but only putting up 6 against the Wildcats in the green and gold?
Levelland used to be 4A a few years ago, a school with 700+ students should be able to put up a better fight than a 28-6 loss to Idalou.
Also, I hope Wilbur keeps healthy. That kid doesn't need to miss baseball season.

Hope you're right VWG. Our coaches are saying we have to got to be ready because Levelland can be dangerous. I was hoping someone might know a little more about them.

Our defense has been good but struggled in the last game so that was disappointing. Our offense has struggled but then we scored 35 points last week so that was encouraging. Wilber's health is a factor. His confidence and competitiveness often spreads to the rest of the team.
