Flu Season

As many of you know, this is already a very bad flu season. Although the flu shot, that is being given, is not really stopping the current starin of the flu, it is giving some protection. There have been many deaths already this year, including a 2 year old in Burnet (yesterday). Please go get everyone in your family immunized. We don't need anymore deaths.

I couldn't agree with you more...I know the parents of the deceased 2 year old, and they are great people....and it seemed so sudden. They and their young daughter didn't deserve this, and my whole heart goes out to them and the rest of their family.

They are good people. I knew the father when he was just a little kid.... I just hope we are able to stop or at least slow down this strain.

Yeah, I've known the dad my whole life...he and my oldest brother were best friends, and still are good friends. We sat together at the Burnet-Wharton game, and everything was great. And now this. I just can't imagine.
