I hope they find him soon. :(

The article didn't give ANY description of him!! I certainly hope they have him surrounded where they think they do.

One of the comments at the bottom has a link to the picture. But yeah, wasn't too bright on the Chronicle's part.

That's good to hear!!

This may not be "PC"...but why in the heck would they have a 59 y/o woman on guard duty for a bunch of guys on work duty???

I'm sure it didn't take much to over power her, steal her car and then run over her with it!!!

They should just execute him the way he killed the guard and not let him know when it is coming!!!!

Guards aren't allowed guns in prisons (they might hurt the prisoners).
I would much rather scrap with a 17 yr old lineman than some of the 59 year old women I know.....

A lot of good it did her

"They managed to overpower one of the correctional officers and took her weapon," said Jason Clark, a TDCJ spokesman.

They also stole a Huntsville city vehicle during their escape, Clark said.

"In the process of fleeing, they ran over the correctional officer," Clark said. "She died a short time later."

That's weird too!!

Why not just say 7 years....or 7 years and one month to be exact!!

I guess I have now had my job for a 188 months!!!

They sure are allowed to have them outside of the prison gates, I don't see how the perimeter guys didn't see this?

Maybe nobody liked her??:p :p

That was mean of me....I'm sorry!! Even if they hated her, she didn't deserve to die!!

I just said she had 85 months of service because that is what the article said- I can't even figure that to years, so it was easier just to quote it......

And because I am in the criminal justice field I can tell you that they don't have guns on the inside for that same reason- the prisoners could get them and then probably be very dangerous....

I know...I read the article too!!

I just added 12 on my adding machine and got 84 after 7 times.... :p :p

I was talking about the article when I said I thought it was weird that they had it down in months rather than years!!

In that situation, I think pretty much anything you can get your hands on can be justified.

word is she was on horseback. Don't know how they were able to escape in the vehicle.

Well, if she was on horseback, she may have been packing- not sure. Maybe a work truck or something. Our inmates have an old van they roll in.

I just wonder about some of these people. Hope they're ready for lethal injection.

here's a link to the 400+ people executed since the death penalty was reinstated.

Interesting, even has their last statements.

What's really sad is they hit her horse. I'm sure it broke it's legs.:(

Lethal injection is too good for these guys.
