District play begins for 24-3A. Both teams are undefeated. Thoughts on this game?

Needville will stomp Columbus and prove what they really are, Pretenders.

Until I see them there is no way that i can say that they are top 25 material, unless of course they manage to beat needville, which i doubt.

So far, Columbus has not played a strong team. Yoakum(0-4), Hallettsville(1-2)2A and Smithville(1-2). Smithville's win came against 2A Weimar and Hallettsville beat Smithville. I know Columbus is 3-0, but look who they have played.

The talent difference will be so much greater when they play needville that they will be shocked, start really sluggish, get behind quick, and needville will put em away early

im predicting 45-13 in needville's favor

Needville will control this one at home, probably with ease. Columbus only real chance, as most anyone who plays Needville, is to stop the running game & force the birds to the air.

Columbus played very well last year vs Needville, on the other hand the Bluejays did not, Needville will win big vs Columbus, as one other poster said Columbus has not played a good team to date. Yoakum 0-4 Halletsville 1-2, and Smithville 1-2. Smithville beat 2a Wiemer, and 2a Halletsville beat Smithville.
There is no way Columbus is a top 25 team, and Needville will prove it.

IM SRRY FBB BUT IM GOING TO DISAGREE WITH YOU..... I THINK C-TOWN HAS THE MOMENTUM TRAIN RUNNING AND BELIEVE ITS GOING TO ROLL OVER NEEDVILLE WITH A WIN.....I THINK COLUMBUS WILL UPSET NEEDVILLE IN A CLOSE ONE

If you want to disagree with me, in open forum lets put some cabbage on the game! Were you the one who said Sealy would roll over Bellville?

Needville's coach Jamie Valentine formerly from Bellville will have the BlueJays ready. We miss seeing Jamie on the Bellville sideline!
Good luck to Jamie and his Family.

Who has Needville played? I know they defeated Santa Fe 14-0 in a game called because of weather. Santa Fe is 4A, but didn't look very good in their scrimmage with Bellville.

If you can't stop the run...you can't stop Needville

That game was called after the 1st quarter.....PLC is proving to everyone that they're a good football team. Sharpstown, although being an HISD team was 2-0 and will more than likely make the playoffs.

Columbus, in my opinion, has their best team in several years. They have improved DRAMATICALLY over the past 3-4 weeks. Coach Maschek has done a fantastic job. He's a great guy and those kids are playing their tails off for him and his staff. In my opinion, he's done one of the best jobs in the state over the past 3 years of restoring a tradition rich school back to where it should be....they'll be a factor in this playoff race.....I guarantee it.

Should be a great game friday.

*********** has Needville as a 28 point favorite. They (Pig) seem to get more correct as the season moves along. So far Needville has defeated:

Santa Fe (4A) 14 - 0
Port Lavaca Calhoun (4A) 28-14
Houston Sharpstown (4A) 52-12 and Needvilled was the underdog by 3!

I pick needville,

IS THIS SERIOUSLY THE GAME OF THE WEEK FOR OUR REGION.

I give LH's 40 point victory over wimberly a more interesting game of the week vote just for the competitive history.

Uh?!? Maybe Wimberley is not in Region III. Maybe both of these teams are 3-0. Maybe both of these teams played a close game last year. Maybe this is the first district game for these teams. These are just a few reasons this is the Game of the Week in Region III. Just my thoughts...

Truly was one heck of a game...As far as the QB, unfortunate things happen...Kid is one of a kind and where sometimes we say things couldn't happen to a better person, it is just the opposite...The Qb is a first class individual as well as his backup who stepped in and did a fine job...Good luck to the Jays the rest of the way...Was at the game and it was one of those in which most times you don't get a chance to see...Both teams played their tails off...Have a feeling that the Jays will rebound and still make much noise down the road...As far as the Cardinals, after finally having an oppurtunity to see them first hand, that feeling is the same in regards to them...Looks like a bunch of kids that are playing really well as a TEAM...Good luck to Columbus the rest of the way as well.
