After pre district how do you see these teams finishing

I still have to go with Needville to win i. They play Houston Sharpstown tonight

Columbus, Sweeny and maybe even Royal battling it out for 2nd and third

Then Sealy, Columbia or Wharton and Stafford for 5th-7th

Cardinals could be a darkhorse and Royal is 2-1 right now

Friday's games
Columbus at Needville
Wharton at Sealy
Sweeny at Columbia
Stafford at Royal

You have to give Needville the nod for first.
After that I think it will be a battle for the next two spots with Sweeny, Columbia, Columbus

so ill say

1. Needville
2. Columbia
3. Sweeny
4. Columbus

(these top 4 are in a whole different division than the next 4 imo)

5. Wharton
6. Sealy
7. Brookshire Royal
8. Stafford

Needville win last night? im assuming they did.... they are better than they were last year and they beat sharpstown 51-0 in needville last year, so if i had to guess ill say they won by a fair margin....... but all it would take is a couple of turnovers for the game to go the other way

I would not count out wharton, they have played a tough non district schedule 4A elcampo 4-0,4A B-Port 4-0,4A barbers hill 2-1.I think VanSant will get the tigers ready when it counts.

Columbia and Sweeny both played them and didnt lose near as bad

( i hate comparing scores but geez...... a blowout is a blowout)

and whartons D might not be that bad but their offense is that bad, and dont get me wrong......

theyre gonna get better, but so is everone else....

It does not matter wharton will be there when it counts.

that is also why im skeptical about Columbus....

they havnt been in the playoff situation in a couple of years... so when crunch time comes, they are subject to fall apart.....

and you know another thing that just burns me up.....

districts like 24-3a have 8 teams in them and some districts only have 4.....

regardless of the numbers, 3 are going to the playoffs......

what i want to know is why do we have a 3/8 chance and some teams have a 3/4 chance....

the uil should be shot

they could make it 6-6 rather than 8-4

and i know location has a lot to do with it...... but its not like columbus and stafford are right in our backyard....

i know we went 0-3 in pre-district, but once district starts i believe we'll turn it on....offense needs to find a groove, and we also need to quit fumbling...the defense will hold it's own if we don't have to be on the field for the whole game...

Needville wins the district outright....after that...its a crap shoot.

after Needville there's no real strong 2nd place or 3rd place team that sticks out...we'll have to see what happens during the oncoming weeks...

Wharton's O has to settle down the D can only do so much and they will be alot better if they didnt have to be out there 40 of the 48 min.s of gameplay the receivers need to start catching the ball and the line has to block alittle harder... hopefully they can get this all together by Friday and keep it like that till the end of the season

yes there is a gap, but i wouldn't be so quick to put Columbus and Sweeny in front of the other 5 teams left...as i've read in the region III game of the week, Columbus hasn't really played anyone...and Sweeny almost got beat by Van Vleck...and why exactly was the 1st string QB out...i have a feeling it will be a battle for 2nd and 3rd places...
