Honestly here, OK State played a very clean disciplined game and the beast OSU can be came out and kicked our horrible d's rear. And no it's not the attitude that goes with the offense that's the d's problem it's that they cant wrap up and tackle. It's like saying that Leach (and that's le:A ch, not leech like the parasite) needs to just abandon his offense mentality and just run the ball so the defense will improve, which makes no logical sense. And to all of you who think im a 'rookie' - I played high school fb for 4 years and lettered 3 playing 2 positions and I am an educated college student who has an educated view about football, so kiss my texas tech red raider a$$ :kiss: if you cant appreciate that and think about how you wish your University of No Talent was anywhere near as good or fun to watch as Texas Tech University (note that the initials of that spells TTU, not PPU) So if you would like to start another pissing match by stating something soo overused and typically moronic phrases and misconceptions of Texas Tech, be my guest buddy cause you dont have much of a fightin' leg to stand on at UNT. ty, ty very much :evilgrin:

After an emotional 49-45 loss at Oklahoma State on Saturday in the Big 12 opener, Texas Tech coach Mike Leach blasted his team, coaching staff and himself for about 10 minutes.

“This is going to hurt some feelings,” Leach said, “but the long story short is I’m not doing as good a job shepherding this as I could, but what we had this game is an offense that was extremely powerful, extremely productive that probably sits and reads their press clippings, and in arrogant fashion set around the sidelines with their arms folded for most of the second half.

“Defensively, the entire first half we got hit in the mouth and acted like someone took our lunch money and all we wanted to do is have poutey expressions on our face until somebody dobbed our little tears off and made us [freaking] feel better. Then we go out there and try harder once our mommies told us we were OK. Neither one of those things is acceptable.”

Leach said Tech has a bunch of “frontrunners” on offense and said his defense lacked toughness. He then explained how he plans to fix the problems.

“We start by addressing it and call it what it is. I think perhaps I’ve candy-coated some of this a little too much in the past,” Leach said. “Second of all, as coaches, you put pressure on yourself to improve because ultimately the blame lies there. The third thing that you do is anybody who is not on board, you get rid of them. It doesn’t matter if it’s a player or a coach or somebody in the background or some support staff, if they’re not on board, you get rid of them. It’s all very simple.”

I went to the game.

The OSU fans there were as discontent with their lack of defense as I was about Tech.

Here is the thing, Tech had its chance to win the game and they didn't. It never should have come down to one play anyway.

It is not like OSU's defense made any real plays to stop Tech. Tech's offense took a couple of series off and instead of scoring 66 on OSU as they should have, they only scored 45.

Tech played like losers, so they lost.
