Final: Bellville 42, HC 28
Bellville seemed flat the whole game. Nunn ran well again (195 yds) as well as Runnels (130 yds). Defense struggled at times, but came out in the second half and played much better. Bellville needs to improve before district starts.

Bellville is not playing the way they did the first two ball games. They seem to have lost the defensive edge and lack the discipline they showed early. Hope they correct the problems before district.

I agree, but then looking at the stats, they played a lot better than I realized. The offense had over 500 yards of offense and the defense only allowed 13 first downs and 258 total yards. On the downside, Bellville lost 2 fumbles and had 7 penalties for 60 yards. Several of those penalties negated some big plays by Bellville, including a kickoff fumble recovery. On defense, Bellville just wasn't making the key stops. Bellville ended up playing most of their starters because they just couldn't completely put HCA away. The team lacked some intensity, especially on defense, but that may be due to their opponent. District play and the big showdown with Giddings will cure the intensity problem, and hopefully the coaches will correct the turnovers and penalties.

Championship teams don't allow penalties or turnovers. Let's hope they pull it together quick. Brahma spirit and heart are what win games--along with the talent and discipline to play perfect ball. C'mon Brahmas, let's get ready to head into district ready to storm!!
