Not really. The team never really starts to gel until district. The coach (at least as far as I can tell) uses non-district to find the best place for all the kids to play, give the team a chance to gel, find an identity, etc.

If they don't put up a fight, I'd be concerned, but from what I've heard turnovers are killing us just like they did last year against PL-C. Three turnovers in the first half, two of which led to PL-C points. We're definitely not getting killed out there from what I've been told, just giving the ball away.

Basically, the boneheaded things a team does when it's still trying to find an identity.

BTW: 99IHS said that we're also having a tough time stopping PLC's option. The short fields we've given them don't help out, but we had them on third and 10 and they ran an option outside for the first down. They shouldn't be able to run for first downs. We need to tighten that up, but I have a feeling Hesseltine will make the appropriate halftime adjustments.

I felt so bad for our Defense. They gave our Offense three tries to at least tie the game, in which we actually started keeping PLC 3 and out, in the third and fourth quarters but unfortunately we couldn't do anything. Early in the fourth our D looked tired and Frustrated and that is when PLC scored again and pretty much put the nail in the coffin. We looked like crap on offense. Five turnovers is what we had. You can't do that when the other teams is playing a near perfect game. They came to play and win and they did.
