BIG SPRING -- Abilene Wylie scored a combined 47 points in the second and third quarter to roll to a 61-14 victory against Big Spring on Friday in a non-district game.

The Steers (0-4) held a 14-7 lead after the first quarter. Big Spring quarterback Nathan Doporto connected with Sidney Parker on a 4-yard pass with 3:44 remaining in the quarter.

Less than a minute later, Cade Hollandsworth recovered a Wylie fumble in the end zone. After that, though, it was all Bulldogs. They scored 20 points in the second quarter and 27 in the third, while adding another touchdown in the fourth quarter quarter.

we came close last yearonly. we needed one more touchdown aginst them last year
