Congrats to the Buffs!! They are FOR REAL!!! Game was back and forth for awhile then the Buffs took over. 90 total points and over 1,000 total yards total offense for both teams. (Buffs 562 Hippos 522). Good luck to the Buffs the rest of the year!!!

Actually I have seen him have much better games. Brock was just WAY too fast for our defense. Giddings offense is VERY good. Their defense was average at best. Hutto moved the ball easily all night, but we could not stop their offense.

Over 500 yards of offense is impressive for both teams. As far as the bet, we never made anything official. But ill say that yall are good and will be a force in the playoffs. Hope we meet again in the playoffs. But both teams need to work on there defense!

Giddings was missing three starters because of problems earlier in the week. Two o-line and one outside LB. Beacause of this Giddings moved 2 starting DL to the offense. So this "avg defense" was missing three starters.

I don't know many teams that can play with three starters missing and still dominate another team.

this is true. Giddings is a great team and better than Hutto. But come playoffs, if they have to face Liberty Hill they will go down.

Hutto was short a starting LB and the starters are mainly made up of Juniors and Sophmores. Giddings Offense was just too much for the young Hippos D.

So, did Brock buy the coaches a round of beer after the game last night?

I mean, he is of legal age right?

:D

I'd also like to know his political party affiliation. I wonder if he voted Republican or Democrat in the 2004 election....

They do it to try and be funny! Doesn't work!

UIL rules say if you are 18 on September 1, you are elligible. I dare say that these fans teams might have one or two 19 year olds on their team by the end of their season. Brock just is a high profile player and thus the wise cracks!

Not that it matters, but hasn't he been 19 for a while?

UIL would be all over Giddings on this if he was 19 before September 1st!!!!! We'd have a perfect record - 0-4 (we'd have to forfeit a forfeit or I guess that would be tie??)!

He doesn't turn 19 till the tail end of October!

its not like being 6 months older than everybody else makes you an all american.....

brock is as good as he is because the dude has got loads of God given talent and he works hard to improve, and they have good coaching over in giddings........

NOT because hes 6-8 months older than most other players.....

Hutto is a good team but at this point in the season couldn't keep up with Giddings' offense.

Yes Giddings' Defense looked a little suspect but once the suspensions are lifted and they don't have a 2 week lag between games the defense will tighten things up.

I hope we do get to meet LH again this year. I will be a heck of a matchup again.

Exaxtly, Im 37 and I still couldnt catch Brock. I havent improved from my 4.78 40yd time from when I was 18. Actually I think I may have added a second or so to that time. :)

Course, it will be a shame when all that speed gets sent home in region III finals by the same team again this year.....

I was being politically correct when I said average. We have not been able to move the ball like that in any of our first 3 games. And I am not sure any of those teams are going to the playoffs. You would have to add quite a bit to that defense to make it good. With that said, I think they deserve their #1 ranking because their offense is virtually unstoppable.

even though the suspensions didnt' help, our 3-3-5 defense isn't really built to stop people that want to run straight at us, with only 3 down lineman its kinda hard to stop a FB dive before he gets four or five yards, against a LH and Caldwell we might have to take out 1 or 2 of the five and put in an extra lineman or linebacker, but once again i'm not a coach, more like a monday morning quarterback, Coach Z is doing a tremendous job with the defense, he is a great coach...

and LH not so fast to sending us home...

I am not worried about the defense. I would imagine that we wouldn't be so hard headed to think the 3-3 defense will stop any offenses that run like us. Could you imagine someone lineing up in a 3-3 against us. I would imagine that the defensive coaches felt like they could win the game without changing anything up for hutto. I would think they were a little disappointed with the performance even given the lack of starters, but they will build on it. 7 of the 35 points came after a fumble inside our own 20 or 15 right after the defense made a stand on 4th down. One play later, back on the field. The defense is fast and will hold their own, don't worry. They scored against hutto, and I think they scored against wimberly, not real sure on kashmere or not. Hempstead well that is a whole other story. Offense had its best showing yet, and think the new guys and line are all starting to gell at the right time. Brock had his best performance yet as well.

i thought the line was almost better this week with the two others, even though that hurt our depth on the D Line, i thought those two kids played with more heart...

i think it's everyone else saying this, not LH :D although, there might be some LH fans that are saying this, idk - that's what makes "fan football" so much fun!! ;)

no need to worry about THAT game right now - still ALOT of football to be played!!
