Dang, the win is a bit of a surprise. Sweetwater is coming on strong. But it looks like they need to with Clyde and Breckenridge.

Im glad Sweetwater runs the ball, because this was a long game..canyon didnt have a answer for the run game..sweetwater controlled the line fairly easily.....secondary played good...canyon Qb has good arm ...recievers dropped a few ......Sweetwater won the turnover game

Ya, they got a few early which I'm sure was a big boost of confidence.

2 blocked punts and an interception made avery short field for Sweetwater's first 3 scores. Mustang D played well against a very potent offence.

The breaks went Sweetwaters way .....and they where able to take advantage of them. It appears they are growing up and setting down with wins againts 2 very good teams. A LOT of kids played tonight, with most of the starters sitting out the second half.

Good luck to Canyon ..they will go along ways in the post season!

All Snyder will have to do is drop 7 or 8 back into coverage most of the time, and rush the hell out of the QB the rest of the time, and Canyon is helpless, unless they can develop a decent running game to keep you honest. They have some big ol strong kids with decent speed are that out in pass patterns just running 90% of the game. They would be much better served putting 1 or 2 of those in the backfield some to make a defense come up and play the run more. But I bet they'll just keep on doing what they do. Oh well.

Let's not forget that getting our 1st string QB back might of
helped get these guys jacked up. On Sweetwater's first play
he ran a QB keeper around the left side for about a 25 yard TD.
He had something like 7 carries for 98 yards and 3 TD's in one
half of play.
Given the fact that our next 3 games are against Big Spring,
Borger, and Comanche...things are looking up.

i agree...maybe after the first couple of weeks they have settled down a bit and are starting to play together...maybe with Wylie's slaughter of BS, we can win our homecoming
