Well, you can never predict the monkey, but Cuero had the clock working their way and that turn over really put the hurt on their game.

The way LH moves the ball on Cuero meant that they need to go up by a couple scores and with out the turn over, they had an opportunity to do that, but now the scoring impetus is squarely on the LH side.

You called it, When I was watching, I was praying for a turn over to change the score up and catch up in our favor. we got it, next i was hoping for one more, one stop, we got it. Allman had a great game, one of his best no doubt, all those yards against a great tough team like Cuero. The difference tonight was depth, pure and simple. Cuero is good but to achieve what we do we are doing it with about 17 good athletes so we have a lot going both ways. Liberty Hill has about 11 starters and 3 or 4 subs on each side of the ball who could start for Cuero or any other team so they have about 28-30 good athletes. Halfway through the third quarter the steam was just gone out of the guys. Simply not enough depth for this early in the season. Better conditioning and cooler December temperatures will close the gap. That and holding onto the ball. Fumbles are hard to overcome against a team that never fumbles. LH never really fumbled, they just had the ball taken away one time.

What did you think of our QB's arm? He is just a sophomore and he can sling it pretty good already. Once he learns how to handle pressure he will be a force for a good while.

I think Cuero's D was on the field 20 minutes in the 1st half alone!! wow...depth did hurt them tonight. BUT even with the depth problems Cuero is a team to reckon with!! They are, IMHO, the odds on favorite to advance out of Region IV in either Division. That's right!! The only team in Region IV that can stop Cuero is Cuero!! I thought it was funny that some LH fans wanted LH to kick the ball away. ummmmmmmmmm, no LOL
I questioned it myself and then realized the answer :doh: you really don't want to give Quincy the ball deep with his speed. Good God he just shot out of the back like a cannon!!! The two or three times LH did kick the ball they made some timely tackles to save sure TDs.

Yes the city cats did beat brenham 42-40,should have been 42-21 but bay city had some special team breakdown on the kickoff which lead to brenham starting drives inside the bay city 30yd line twice.Bay City had a total of 520 yds total offense,QB shaun rutherford had 396 yds passing & rushes for 120 yds.He will probally start getting some div 1 attention now.Bay City if not for some bone head penalties could have scored 60+ points on the cubs i think Bay City program is back on track.
