View Full Version : How many Div. I starters are from your 3A school?

I noticed last night during the A&M/Miami game there were 3 starters
from 3A schools. A&M's punter(3 year starter) was from Sealy.
There was another guy from Jasper. Shawnbrey McNeil from
Dallas Madison returned at least one punt.
I was just wondering how many other 3A kids were either
starting or seeing significant playing time at the Div. I level.

Caleb Hanie, a Sr, is in his 2nd year as Colo St's starting QB - he was at Forney when FHS was 3A

Also, A&M's QB is from Burnet (who was 3A at the time he was there) and Sean Weatherspoon from Jasper is a starting outside linebacker for Colorado.

Also, Stephen Hodge from Tatum starts at TCU at SS.

Lennon Creer from Tatum was the kick returner for Tennessee this weekend.

Crawford, starts at Baylor, unless he graduated, and since you said DI that includes both the FBS and FCS...so Philip Alexander transferred to Texas State from Air Force and Jonathan Lehmann transferred to Texas state from Arizona State and has had shoulder surgery the last three years but started one game...if that doesn't count then we had or have one...

I believe Shawnbrey returned two kickoffs last night and carried the ball 7 times for 18 yards as a true freshman. Would've really enjoyed him getting a TD last night, but seeing him play so early in his freshman season was fun. He might get more playing time soon if Cooper continues to fumble. I'm fairly certain he's not regretting going to The U right about now over going to A&M. :)

Madison also has Raphael Priest starting at corner this year again for TCU. (Has a good chance to be a 4 year starter.)
