You're downing one guy out of everyone on the team, that right there shows how much you know. McGee is a great quarterback, leader, and has all of the right things you want in a quarterback and I stand behind him 100%.

I don't think we need to down McGee here... the guy is the toughest QB playing in college football right now... he can throw, he can run, and he can take some hits... the dude is nails... he's just not playing in a system that he can succeed in...

Fran has done a great job recruiting these players... these are AWESOME athletes that want to win...

but it's like buying a speedboat for your smimming pool... speedboats are awesome, but not worth a dime in a swimming pool... Fran needs to bring a big lake to the game or that boat isn't going anywhere...

This is not me prematurely jumping on a bandwagon. This is my honest opinion. A&M needs to part ways with Francione no matter the cost. He was hired as an offensive guru and a recruiter extraordinaire, and he is neither. His offensive calls are juvenile, and his passion for the game is lacking. He does not recruit below the 4A level with rare exception, and he has proven to be a poor judge of overall talent at the high school level. How I wish that Bill Cowher, Norm Chow, or Jimmy Johnson would entertain the idea of becoming an NCAA coach (or in Jimmy's case, again becoming one). A&M is not afraid to spend the money. And they have the facilities to make a championship team. Fran is not the answer. He is not Big XII football. JMHO

You hit the nail on the head, McGee was so successful passing the ball in High School because of one player( Shipley), McGee would throw it up in the air and Shipley would run under it. Fran can only do so much with the talent he has back there. Running back for atm #11 made a comment that nobody can stop their offense, ESPN annoucers were laughing about his comments.

Well when J-train is allowed to touch the ball more than 5 times they it helps them out a lot. You could tell by watching Lane on the sidelines, he was not happy. To me it looked as if he was thinking "why even try, hes not gunna have me play till the 3rd quarter" I would love to see Fran leave... hes been there to look to have done NOTHING with our team.

In hindsight I was being very optimistic. I have been to 2 out of the first 3 home games this year and they haven't really seemed to click on offense and their secondary is horrible.

While A&M was playing Miami I switched back and forth to this game hoping that Navy would win. Alas it wasn't to be.

Navy had the ball in field goal range and were tied with Ball State with 2 seconds left. But Navy's blocking didn't hold up and the kick was blocked ruining Navy's chance to end the game there. Then Navy in OT had the first possession and on the first play the Navy QB when hit by two players tried to lateral the ball and it misfired and Ball State recovered killing their chance. Then Ball State just ran the ball and kept safe plays and won the game by kicking the field goal and winning 34 to 31. Disappointing indeed.

What is worse is that Navy hasn't beaten Notre Dame since 1963 when Roger Stauback was a junion. :(

Quite frankly, there will be times that I hope the Aggies lose. It has no bearing on our friendship, at least not to me. But I'm not going to stop cheering for "my" team when I've been a lifelong fan of them. :kiss:

You are right. The coaches on the field are the only people that know anything about football. And you have to be good at it to do it. Exactly what are you doing again? Hmm....weird. :crazy: :crazy:

I guess playing in high school, college, and an amateur football league, but I will probably never know anything about the game. Well maybe a little, but probably not as much as you.:rolleyes:

Exactly. I am not sure why other people that have never coached at the collegiate level even pretend to know football. I dont even understand how this board has survived talking about football without any collegiate coaches. That is crazy. And anyone can say to go coach at the collegiate level, because you dont know what its like, but I dont care. I dont have to coach for anyone to know that if you keep doing the same thing over and over, and it isnt working, then it is advisable to try something else. That has nothing to do with coaching....its just common sense. :rolleyes:

thing i dont get with Fran not running Lane is the fact that Miami has a fast defense there a team who is built on being fast. A fast defense is going to give an option offense a hard time. You should run the ball right at a defense like that
