Love those 8 track tapes. Especially the ones that you had to wedge a matchbook inbetween the tape and the player so it wouldn't drag. And how about those songs that would begin on one track and then pause and change to another track, gotta love that.

I still remember my brothers and I having to take turns climbing up on the roof to turn the antenna so we could get better reception on the channel we wanted to watch (even if it was raining or snowing, it was just part of our everyday life). And by the way for you younger folks. We only had 3 channels, ABC, NBC, and CBS, and you had to turn the antenna towards the station you want to watch.

Those were the good ole days!

When I got married I was so excited because my new father-in-law gave us his VHS video player! I had never had one before....I ran across it under my bed a couple of weeks ago and realized that it had a knob on it to change the channel from 1 all the way to 13!!;)

how bout the old mobile phones - (before cell phone) - looked like a princess phone, handset had button to push to get operator, you had to give your number to operator and then the number you wanted to call. Service area was not the greatest either. It basically was a fancy two-radio. This was back in the 60's and early 70's.

I remember one of the TV's we had, we could sit in front of it with a metal slinky...and when we put it up to the Channel knob and moved it from hand to hand...it would turn the channel!!
