Cox just looks funny to me out there in that #99 jersey....glad to see hes having fun with it (how many #99's do you see out at WR, and in the secondary? lol)

He's a great kid. I think he got a lot of frustration out against Wylie. He had a rough start to the season, but I think he's about to catch fire.

Both of those picks are good!

Home pick - Zach Birdwell from Sweetwater. 87 yards passing - 2 TD's, also rushed for 39 yards and one TD. I know they aren't big numbers, but when a Sweetwater QB passes for TWO touchdowns in one game its a big deal.

and you forgot to mention hes the backup thats in for the injured star quarterback thomas holsey. and he could of easily had another 70 yards passing and a td if the reciever simply would of kept running and he threw a 15 yard pass to keke wallace that got them to the half yard line. so theres a chance for 2 more passing tds. so i second this nomination

Yes he did. Very gifted athlete. Had one heck of a game. However, they still lost. Hirschi had a very bad night with penalties and injuries. I can assure you that won't happen again.

Why not just get on the 6-3A bandwagon. 4 teams in the Region 1 Top Ten. It's gonna be another wild finish.

 Are you sure that is right? That seems like a lot of yards. I would like to see how that is broken down in each category.

Thorton was alos the third string QB going into Hirschi's game on Friday and he is a sophomore. A great job in a pressure situation for a pup.

Thanks. He did have an incredible night. However, he needs to be in the Region 2 player of the week.

So he's not from Vernon?? Isn't that who we played for the Region I title last season??

Why would they be in Region II now?

I guess you figured out a Vernon poster posted about a FW Castleberry kid who was playing against WF Hirschi. Does kinda make your head spin.
