They do an excellent job of giving an un-biased call of the game.
They talk as good about the other team and thier facilities as
they do the Rangers. It is refreshing. I've noticed this before I
was just reminded of it during their series with the Tigers.

I honestly can't remember their names.

Tom Grieve and Josh Lewin

Grieve has been a favorite of mine for years...Lewin took a while to grow on me, but I have grown used to his uber-excited personality.

I bought the MLB.com Gameday audio package so I could listen
to Detroit Tiger day games here at work. It gives you a choice
between home or away feeds. I choose the opposing teams
announcers because Detroit's are so negative about the plays
and calls.:(

that must be an update...last year I think you could only get the feed of whoever was the home team!

Are you talking about the TV guys or the radio guys?

The option isn't available for every game but it is for most of
them.(radio-wxyz in Detroit)

Both really. I had DirectTv. I bought the package that included
all FSN's and the announcers weren't much better on Fox
Sports Detroit about homerism.

kinda like this "Man, that's been a strike all day and now with
the game on the line he's gonna call it ball?" Bonderman's
getting robbed!.

ha...there was an infamous game in San Fransisco last year when Mark Teixeira hit the chalk down the right field line trailing by one with two runners on in the ninth and the ball was called foul when the Rangers announcers went berzerk...they still talk about that call from time to time...

Wow! I guess I just haven't seen enough telecasts. I used to
follow the Rangers alot closer until Detroit ended 20 years of
futility last year.

well, for the record, the umps did totally blow the call...Tex even got ejected with two strikes and Laird had to come off the bench to pinch hit and finish the at-bat.

Also, there was a famous incident about five years ago when Hideki Irabu was pitching for Texas and Tom Grieve blurted profanity when talking about how Irabu was pitching...
