1A football question - Cross Plains

Anyone here close to Cross Plains? Any word on how they are improving this year? Coach Jim Sides (OC for Royse City last year) took over as AD/Head Coach at the end of the year last school year. I know they have lost the first two games but they seem to be competing. Anyone have any other insight?

if the past is any indication he doesnt have anything to work with. I hope the school board will give him time to get the kids that are in jr. high now through their sr years before they start wanting to replace him.

CP has been 1-9, 1-9, 0-10 in the past three years.

Jim Sides and staff built a great offense at RC. It was tough to see him leave, he was a good personal friend, our sons played pee-wee football and baseball together for the last 3-4 years.

I know he will make a diference in the long run. I am sure he is making a difference in the community and with the kids already, that is just the kind of leader he is.
