With SLC's win last week over Lake Highlands, SLC tied Abilene's 49 game winning streak set 50 years ago. Southlake Carroll has won 49 consecutive games dating back to 2004. Their record since 2002 is 79-1, the only blemish being the 16 to 15 loss to Katy in the 2003 5A division II title game. A win over Miami Northwest this next Saturday will set a new record of 50 straight wins.

Why would that be the state record? Didn't Celina win like 68 games in a row?
