Some of you have brought up having a "members" top 25. Since Matthew is no longer doing a Top 25, the mods & admins have tried to come up with a feasible way to have it. I believe this will work. And if it's a complete idiotic idea, at least it was worth a try. The only catch is, if you don't submit a top 25, you have NO room to gripe. This will remain stickied through Wednesday night/Thursday morning, then ALL votes will be tabulated, for a true members' (okay, those of you who post) poll.

First place ranking will receive 25 points; twenty-fifth place ranking will receive 1 point. Please try to be realistic in your rankings....homerism is okay if warranted. If you try to be "funny" with them, don't expect any of your rankings to count. One set of rankings per poster, please.

Oh.....if anyone has an idea that would work better, please feel free to share.

***IF YOU HAVE COMMENTARY ABOUT SOMEONE'S POLL*** please post it (with the top 25 in question quoted) on this "random comments" (http://bbs.3adownlow.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=70017) thread.

Big Daddy Russ, you and I see similar things. I have some differences but altogether I agree a lot with your top ten. I am not sure about Hutto at this point because I am not familiar with the teams they have beaten. I give TLE a little more love because I am familiar with Paris North Lamar. They are a pretty good program. Celina would beat them this year but it would probably be a good game. And TLE was close.
I cannot give Cuero top 5 status till they beat better opposition.
Royse City gets the nod because they beat a 4a school which should be better than the programs Cuero beat.

One school I am still debating putting in is Brownsboro. They look pretty good and are probably better that Pleasanton. I may make that change. But I will wait until the end of this week because there is going to be a little more shuffling of the last 10.

Burkburnett might come out. They beat a weak Leopard team(sorry guys still trying to pick up the pieces) and a Decatur team that is only average. Good wins from a good program but maybe not top 20.

Okay folks, "this" option won the choice for rankings. Since there were a couple of days break, rankings can be submitted through game time Friday evening. Next week, the Week 3 rankings can be submitted from Saturday through Tuesday noon, then points will be tabulated and the rankings posted on the home page.

Don't be shy. As a reminder, schedules, W/L records and undefeated teams are shown on the homepage. (Click "home" button top right, then choose from there.)

Here's the link to the vote and other options. click me (http://bbs.3adownlow.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=70042)

I'll add up points tomorrow and post the results. They'll be shown on the homepage as well.

It will probably be tomorrow afternoon, because I'll be at CC meet until noon or so....will also post a sticky for the Week 3 rankings. Thanks to ALL who participated....hopefully more will over the coming weeks. :)
