I remember one of these along Route 66 in Rialto CA as a kid. It has been in several movies and on the old tv series "Route 66" where two guys in a '62 Corvette convertible tour the country along the highway made famous by Nat King Cole...get your kicks on route 66.

I read the article today in the Houston paper. The pic is really cool of the tee pees. I can't imagine spending that much money on them, though....

i like the teepee's but they are always packed when i feel like sending the night in them

I may build a little "Fort Wharton" next to the Tee Pee Motel. Kind of a bar and grille. You think it would take off?
