Two young teams meet in La Grange for a Homecoming showdown. The Tigers have lost to two playoff level teams but will be hungry for a win. The Leps got off to a slow start with the first game cancelled due to lightening yet came out in game 2 to skunk Yoakum 21-0. This with 9 seniors out, three with injuries and six serving 2 game suspensions. They should be back for Homecoming and be ready to play. I think the Leps will continue to improve and move past Sealy by 2tds.

Its hard to say, Sealy is not very good in there first 2 games, on the other hand La Grange beat Yoakum, and Yoakum was beat bad by Columbus. Not knowing anything about La Grange, the Leps sould still beat Sealy by 14. The Leps play Gonzales, and Luling in pre-district, the leps sould win all these games. Once again we will see how good La Grange will be vs Giddings and Caldwell, these two games will be the Leps 1st real test.
Bellville's 4 td comeback last year in the last 5 minutes of the game to get La Grange in the Playoffs was a one in a lifetime thing. La Grange only has 1 back from last season on offense, and 5 on the defense. Good luck vs Sealy! Go District 23!!

I think La Grange takes it. Sealy is learning a new system with a new coach. Good luck to both teams.

I was gonna go to this game, but am opting to stay home and watch Port Isabel/West Oso.

Good Luck to both teams. Nothing against the Leps, but I'm hoping Sealy gets their first win. :)

LG was missing all those players, so don't put too much stock in the 21-0 margin of victory over Yoakum. Sealy will get better, but I don't think they have enough offense to move the ball against what should be a very good LG defense.

LG 17
Sealy 0

Of all those players LG was missing, only a few will make a difference. Defense will gain a couple of players to help, offense 1 maybe 2. Wide receiver and linemen. So overall team will remain about the same. Offense will be the question mark all season. I would still like to see the young QB at QB and Allen at running back. Just my take.

Lagrange very good defense not strong offensively. Sealy subpar offense, pretty good defense. I'll take Lagrange 13 Sealy 7.

The Leps offense may surprise folks this season with Allen as qb. He can run the ball well and has a good stable of receivers in what will be a very balanced attack. The O line has a big job to anchor this offense. They average 245 lbs from tackle to tackle so they have the size in 3a...if they step it up the machine will roll. Look for the Leps to break out in the next few weeks.:)

Very sloppy played game. Fumbles, penalties but two pretty good defensive teams. Special team play and big plays was the difference for Sealy. The Tigers just couldn't get anything going as far as drives were concerned. But a long kickoff return, several fumbles deep in La Grange territory and an interception return for a touchdown was enough for a Sealy win, final score 31-21.

Sealy's offense continued to struggle but the defense and special teams made up for it. Sophomore running back for Sealy, #5, scored a rushing TD on the first drive of the game and then returned a KO for a touchdown later in the quarter. La Grange couldn't hold onto the ball and the Tigers took advantage.

As I said eariler in the week, the return of the players would not have much of an impact. The return of a couple on defense definitely helped however no skilled players on offense returned because LG is lacking in this area. Dockery and Callaway are really our only skilled players on offense. The only problem they must play defense also, I still would like to see them swap QB's and put Allen the QB at running back. This would give you a QB for 2 years back their, with the offense we run I think this would payoff in the long run. Also the offensive line has to improve. Just my 2 cents.

Congrats to Sealy!! The Tigers proved me wrong and scored 31 points. I was impressed by LG's defense from a year ago and figured this would be a low scoring game. Sealy's defense and special teams rose to the occasion.

The La Grange defense is good. Sealy's three offensive touchdowns were set up by fumble recoveries with the Tigers getting the ball on the La Grange 27, 20 and 32 yard lines. Hard hitting could very well have had something to do with the fumbles. Sealy's other two scores came on an 81-yard kickoff return and a 35-yard interception return. Also Sealy didn't have any turnovers. Ryan Dockery La Grange receiver is a very good one.
