I'm going! A man who coached at Sweetwater and West Orange many years ago went over to Southlake and got me and his son tickets to go to the game with him. Should be fun watching the game with him as he's quite a character.

That youtube video was made in 2003. A lot has changed and if you watch the whole movie instead of just the bad stuff it's really good. None of the coaches shown on the video are there anymore.

It is being played at SMU's field.

SMU. It would've been nice to see this game at Texas Stadium. They could've gotten at least 50k to show up for this game.

I doubt it since it's on TV, Miami will bring about 20 fans and it's not a playoff game.

They played two games at Texas Stadium during Zero Week on a Saturday. I don't know about the Garland-Allen game, but the HP-Waxahachie game had a pretty good crowd for an early season game.

In saying they could get 50k, I wasn't thinking that anyone from Miami would come. I think the uniqueness of the game will get folks to show up and it'd be nice for the kids from Miami to get to play a game at Texas Stadium. Saying you played at SMU 20 years from now just doesn't have the same feel to it.

I like all black bands also, they have more of a jive I could say. On the other hand, I do not think MNW will be able to outwit the Carroll D. The dragons offense will take care of itself. This should be a good game no matter what.

I really enjoy the black bands. I never have enjoyed the more traditional type bands that I grew up seeing. I know that no matter how bad things get for Madison during a game, at least the halftime show will be good. We're probably going to get blown out on the 22nd against Lincoln, but at least halftime will be entertaining. :)

There will be plenty of seats available for this one....I think 20k will show for this one max......

Here is why

There are several other good games Saturday (WF Rider-Stephenville is one for sure along with Plano East-Garland)

The game is on TV so many people who might normally go will stay home and watch it

Miami will bring 200-300 people max..so no visitor crowd...Ford Stadium holds over 30k so there will be plenty of seats......

You gotta win ALL of your games to even have a chance of sniffing the national Championship...Including nondistrict, district, and playoffs. Im sure yall both agree with each other (considering yall both live in the same house).

of course they are all important regarding the (mythical) NC .... but ask any coach in this situation and they'll tell you they'd rather lose to NW in week 2 in a non-district game than lose to XYZ in the regional final ..... thats all I'm saying. i believe in TX state titles are 100X more important than newspaper mythical NCs.
