It happened last night to QB Daniel Meager of North Texas. He set school records for attempts, completions, and yards passing and still lost to SMU 45-31.

Very true. I also failed to mention the record day by UNT WR Casey Fitzgerald. He had the following stats last night:

18 receptions
327 yards receiving (4th most in NCAA D1 history)
2 TD

I understand the final score is what matters most. I just hate to see great performances like this not get the win! Plus, I'm a UNT homer. :D
