columbus 51. smithville 32

shootout!!! early mistakes for smithville and late touchdown make the score worse than it was. Columbos is a good team that can cause a force come district. Smithville is on the rise. They can put up points in a hurry and got 3 gamebreaker running backs speed wise. Smithville is on the rise and if the D ever comes around this season smithville could throw there name in the playoff hat behind giddings. tough loss for the tigers but a young team and just gona get better. backs are all sophs and juniors.

Columbus better be a lot improved over the team I saw last year to compete for a playoff spot. 24-3A has Needville, Sweeny, & then who knows battling for spots.

smithville is putting up some points....with that production, they will beat Lagrange who looked rough in opener versus Yoakum...

With the way Caldwell loafed around late in the Rockdale game, they could very well give Smithville its first district win in years.

Scary thought, but very possible. It nearly happened about five years ago when Caldwell escaped with a 21-11 win and it was like watching David vs. Goliath.

Dont believe the smoke and mirrors of the first two games for Columbus. They will be doing good to win more than two district games.
