Who said you made it farther than I expected you to? I predicted that Giddings would lose to La Grange. Sounds like they did exactly what I expected them to do. Also, as I said in an earlier post, the reason I no longer care for Giddings is b/c of the posters(like you) that get on here and make ridiculous, pointless, and childish posts.

Alanclay37, I know that Josh would say thanks for the compliment. To answer you question, he has gotten letters from many schools but nothing as far as an offer yet. What surprises me is that he is not all that excited about playing college ball. Maybe he doesn't think that he can top what he and his teammates have accomplish while playing for the Leopards. My personal thoughts are that he can play on saturdays but that is left up to him. Not only him but Ulrich, Newton and Chovanec should be offered something. Of course Bouldwin is going to TCU. Wouldn't that be the neatest thing if all of them went to TCU and played along side Tye

I tell you what would be even better, if Brent Slaughter and your son ended up at the same place. What a pair that would be. TCU is all over Slaughter, along with a ton of other schools. If some schools would just give #88 a chance, they WONT regret it. I remember a guy named Brad Kassel from Llano. He was about 6'3 200, great football player, but every school that looked at him said he was too small. Well he goes to North Texas and now he is one of the top NFL linebacker prospects in the nation. GOOD LUCK Josh!! I will be keeping an eye on you! Maybe even on TV.

alanclay37, do you play for Wimberley? And if you do what position do you play? What makes Slaughter so good is that he is versatile. You get two for the price of one. Josh was never excited about playing offense, he just wanted to hit someone. I have to say while I was watching the game against Wimberley I thought of Josh and Brent playing side by side. I tell you what, it would be really tough for someone to score against those two.

I'm sure that what Josh and the other guys have accomplished was great but playing college football is a blast, I know. High school football is the best and dont ever take it for granted, it is the time of your life. But when you get to college you will form bonds with new guys and they will become your brothers, and you will want to go to WAR with them. I dont see how he would not want to go on cause he plays like he loves the game even more so than I do. I wish I could play it forever.
