I might have to start drinking more than once a month to make it through this season...lol. Losing a 21 point lead to one of the three worst schools in Dallas due to absolutely horrible clock management just made this loss even worse.

The good news though was hearing them say over the PA tonight that Lincoln lost to Velt! That was pretty much it for the good news.

The bad news...After the bye week we get an angry group of Purple Tigers for the South Dallas Super Bowl. Knowing how Lincoln likes to kick Madison when they're down, they may put 80 on the board with how our offense keeps turning the ball over repeatedly. Having 12 sophomores (10 of which start) is making this one tough go around this year. They're all extremely talented and I'd say Madison has the best sophomore class in the state talent-wise in 3A, but unfortunately you get the growing pains associated with that and it's rough to watch sometimes. :(

by the way for those who wonder what this is referring to:
Dallas Smith 0 16 7 14 - 37
Dallas Madison 15 13 6 0 - 34

Dallas Lincoln 0 7 19 7 - 33
Dallas Roosevelt 7 0 7 20 - 34

Hang in there, JR. One of these years DM is going to go even deeper than it did in 2004 when Manuel Johnson and Gilmer eliminated you guys.

Having to replace 18 starters is something I don't think even Jeff Traylor could pull off successfully.
