He is a really good guy. Hate to see how much it hurt the Hanna family when they let him go, but glad to see they stayed in Monahans and Coach has turned it positive.

As far as having "one bad year," the Loboes had slipped a little in wins and other aspects - especially in the physical-type play that Monahans had always prided itself in - for a couple of years before than 4-6 season. The most noticeable difference I see in the current Loboes is the hitting and physical play is back the last three years, and the W-L record reflects it.

I understand why the board thought it was time for a coaching change; what I didn't like was the way it was done. Larry Hanna is great man and he cared and still cares about the kids of Monahans. He and Judy are wonderful people and they have a great family. I am VERY glad they stayed here in Monahans and I am proud to say they are friends of mine.
