Here's a crazy idea....how about we have better accountability with the money we already spend and then there would be plenty of money?:nerd:

absolutely...it amazes me how much of our fuel sales tax $$$ are given to foreign countries...:mad:

18.4 cpg (Federal) + 20 cpg (State of Texas) = 38.4 cents per gallon
(some States are higher, believe it or not)

Figuring out where it all goes is the problem between the Federal Highway Trust fund and all points beyond...

maybe someone can find some breakdown, I am at a loss on where to look.:thinking:

ok, well, it's not as much as I thought, but that's still a much heftier tax than most other goods.

As far as the bridges go, Let them fall in. people who are so anti tax will go over the edge . Look... It takes money to fix problems. If we can afford several 1$ BILLION dollar Stealth bombers to fight a cold war that is over, then we may need to justify spending money to fix a few bridges.:thumbsup:
