District 30 AAA started play last night and Sinton beat Mathis 3 - 0 and also won the JV and Freshmen matches.

West Oso won a tough one against Aransas Pass 3 - 1. West Oso also won the freshmen match while Aransas Pass won the Jv match. Sinton, West Oso and Aransas Pass have good records.

I don't know how any of the other teams (Ingleside or Orange Grove) are doing.

That is a fantastic job by the Ladies of Cuero. Goliad is usually a very good volleyball team but I don't know how they are this year or if they lost a lot from last year's team to graduation. Also credit Cuero because when two good teams faily evenly matched like those two it is always tough to win that third one when you have already won two close ones in a row.

Did volleyball go to a best of five when the scoring rules changed?

Yes and I heard the beat West Oso in the final 3 to 2 and this was West Oso's first loss this year. I know West Oso beat Sinton earlier in another close 3 to 2 match so when these two teams meet in District they should be great matches.

Our freshman lost in a close third game and our JV team is a powerhouse with two strong wins last night against West Oso.

The girls are getting stronger and stronger and we should have some good district match-ups in 30-3a.
