Both teams are coming off a loss in Week Zero. What are your thoughts about this week's game?

We scrimmaged Argyle and they are big and strong and can throw the ball some. We held them easily enough but they crushed IP. Abilene played Bwood close. I would say that Wylie rolls in this one. Argyle is good but not that good. I would say that IP would not even score on us. The bulldogs roll by 21.

I was just thinking the same thing. You got Sweetwater-Brownwood, Bridgeport - Mineral Wells, Canyon-Dumas, and some other games but nothing really stands out as a first rate matchup.

Sorry Hawk fans... Wylie by 3 TD's.

wow no love for the Hawks at all. I predict Odis pops in mid week with his southern charm and wit and smacks a little.

HOWEVER I say Wylie 31-8.

As with most of Elllis' teams, these Hawks will take a while to gel. Wylie will win this one, but I believe the Hawks will show strong in district.

The IP kids will come out and play some hard nosed football. Wylie will stick with their game plan and try and get lots of kids some playing time if they are able to get a comfy lead.

I'm not as in touch with the program as I used to be, but I would caution the AW folks. The Hawks are getting dismissed here pretty easily. Ellis is a quality coach.

Iowa Park is running the single wing on offense. Ellis has always been a Wing T guy, but what's up with the single wing?

IP has run a little single wing ever since Ellis has been there. When they had Swenson a couple of years ago, they would run wing-t, the spread and some single wing. They were very hard to prepare for defensively because they were very diverse. However, right now, it appears they really don't have anyone that can throw with any consistency.

I believe he is a good coach but this year from looking at the Argyle game I would say he is a little limited on both sides of the ball. I was at field level watching the Argyle boys a couple of times this year. They are good, solid, well coached but not a world beater. IP did not fare well against them and AW looks to me to be as good as Argyle or slightly better. I could be wrong but AW played Bwood well and they will not want to lose another
while IP was man handled and may not have much confidence right now.

Wylie too strong for IP.

Survey says:

Wylie - 28
IP - 13

I remember my Soph year when he coached the JV we ran it a little in our last game of the year way back in '95

Bulldogs will win this. They always come back even stronger than normal after a loss.

Back when my dad coached under Nelms they ran the wing-t and that was back in 96
