VAN ALSTYNE – Number seven Gainesville had 493 yards of total offense in a 65-7 blowout of Van Alstyne Friday at Panther Stadium. Gainesville (7-0) was cruising by halftime with over 300 yards of offense and a 37-7 lead. Quarterback Chris Brown threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns, one to Courtney Royal and the other two to Darcel McBath. Gainesville scored 30 points in the second quarter and 21 more in the third.
Van Alstyne's (4-3) only score came on a 61-yard pass from Jonathon Davidson to Landon Jones.
Gainesville will host Celina.
