Well, I took a job at Adamson in Dallas this spring and many people htought I was an idiot. They hadn't won a game in 31 straight. I knew with the right direction these kids could be successful. You woul dhave thought these kids tonight won a state championship!

FORT WORTH--Adamson's defense limited Carter-Riverside to 65 yards of total offense in a 36-3 season-opening victory at Handley Field. Quarterback Victor Garcia contributed to the win with two touchdown passes, going 6 of 11 passing for 153 yards. Garcia's first touchdown pass gave Adamson (1-0) a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Donald Williams led Adamson's rushing attack with 9 carries for 90 yards. Williams also had a 40-yard fumble return for a touchdown on defense in the second quarter. Carter-Riverside(0-1) scored it's only points on a 27-yard field goal by Joaquin Castaneda with 6:42 left in the fourth quarter.

You may not even fully realize right now how big that win was! That was a tremendously big victory man and it was well earned. I know some Adamson graduates and they won't even admit to ever having gone to school there due to how bad things have gotten with the football program. Most Leopards fans just adopted another school altogether to cheer for rather than sticking by Adamson during that streak.

I hope this will help bring y'all back some fans that long ago walked away from the program. I bet it was just an amazing feeling seeing those kids get that win tonight and hopefully some folks in that area will take more notice of what y'all are trying to accomplish!

Congrats KA. The thing that shocked me isn't so much the fact that it ended as the way that it ended.

36-3??????

Wow.

Next up is North Side. Those wins are even sweeter when it comes against a Ft. Worth school! Hopefully I'll be able to make my way over to James Jones Field to watch it!
