Could have been much worse, the dogs were pretty much called off in the second half.

Vernon looked darn good tonight. They had some trouble with penalties, but overall a dominate performance over a much larger school.

Some stats from the game....Vernon 443vds of offense (345 rushing) Craig Whiteside 13-145yds...7 other players combined for 200yds rushing. Altus 40 carries for (-2) yds rushing and 100 yds passing. DE Chris McGrew 12 tackles and 4 sacks.

The defense was dominating. The McGrew kid was all over the field and pressuring the QB all night. Look for good things from the Lion defense this season. Next up MC!!!!
