Waco has alot of heart, but the mistakes, around 100 yards of penalties and poor coverage on the kicking team by LH kept the game closer than the score indicates. The second half was more like it, the backs just couldnt get footing and it was hard to run the misdirection in the lake during the first half. The Cadets have good speed and never gave up, great effort by them, they should be proud. On the positive note, the LH line was kicking butt and Allman was on fire when the team started rolling near the end of the first half and all of the second half. We won by a bigger margin than last year. We will miss Bodies Speed but Big #44 with 33 and 27 have kept the three headed monster alive. Fickle did a good job also. Now on the house of the Bulldog, Its hard to win in Burnet, But I believe the Champs will be up to it.

Congrats to the Panthers!

And great to see what a crowd stuck it out through a hour plus rain delay. (Okay, I admit - I went home and put on dry clothes.) It was POURING! My cell phone got ruined, but the Panthers got a victory!!! A few too many penalties.

Yeah, I went home and changed, my #2 and #3 opted to stay home with Mom, but me and #1 would have come back if they delayed it till midnight.

Your boy and the line did a good job tonight LHPM!

OOPS, Its late, i thaught it was LHPM, Man few things scare, but when that lightning started striking, I couldnt get off those aluminum stands (aka giant lightning rod) fast enough with my boys.

Those penalties by the defense were completely avoidable.

How were the bands looking?

The only thing the bands did was the Star Spangled Banner. I think they both played as the teams were coming out, but no school songs. When the delay hit, there was only about a minute or so off the clock and bands didn't come back.

They did not look improved to me at all.
The qb is pretty good, but any pass over 10 yards was just a chunk. No touch at all.
Even the quick pass out to the flat was just a floater, and a defense that plays an aggressive secondary will pick off a lot of passes on a dry surface.

These are honest observations here, not just to put someone down, so don't get all riled up....

Like I said in the previous post, It was not even as close as the three touchdown difference when it came to out playing them. As for 5-5, we only beat WC 35-21 last year, last night we beat them by three touchdowns while making mistakes, poor kick off coverage and penalties that stretch the length of the football field. We just may be even better than last year, but to early to tell.
