Decatur???

Has anyone heard anything about decatur? do they not have any ammunition this season? this is the first year i havent really heard anything about them. Will they be any good?

I think they lost the first scrimmage to Iowa Park 1-0. I could be wrong, it may have been 1-1.

Trant is back I think but they lost some linemen and that reciever. You should ask kof96, hes a high school football fan

Haven't heard that much locally either. Doubt we'll see the air show we've had the last few years - more running and really good defense will keep them as the preseason favorite for the district title. Coach Story is a great coach who will bring the best out of his kids. Watch out for Bridgeport this year - if their defense improves any they will be a force......

Another web site has them projected to finish the regular season
10-0. It has them going to the Div. 1 semi-finals and losing to
Royse City by 14 points. So, they're expected to be pretty good.

Did a little more digging at lunch. Trant and the main receiver (my brain is turned off on his name) are hobbled and haven't done much in the scrimmages. The projected QB was lost in week 1 of practice with a torn ACL. Decatur with go with a 2 QB situation. Most of the OL will be back as will the front of the DL. As I said before, Story will get this figured out and get the best from the kids but 10 - 0? I think you'd get pretty good odd's in Vegas on that one. Should be a fun year (aren't they all?).

didnt the trant kid put up something sick (like 400 yards all purpose i think) against bport last year? and has anyone heard if hes any good? i remember hearing about him last year

I'm bored until the Decatur/Abiliene Wylie playoff game in December. Last years was one of the best high school games I've ever been to and we were on the losing end.
