Gobblers are getting better still a lot of fumbles and penalities.

Second string came in with 4:00 minutes left in the second quarter when the score was 35-0.

congrs. cuero.
we came out strong and had 17-0 lead. gonzales had no first downs and -40 yds for the first 23 minutes. tell we gave them the break they needed. on 3 and 30 with 50 seconds left we got a pass picked off and the got ran it back to the 20, they scored on final play of half and we charged they up and it was a war to the end.
then at the end we had the ball on there 40 and try to run the clock out with the score 17-14. took 5 yds. losses and on forth down try to punt with 25 seconds left. hiked it over the punter had and they had ball on our 15 yd. line with 16 second left. on last play of game the gonzales kid nearly make a great catch but it fail out of his hand as he went down. game over. the last few yrs. the gonzales -yoakum game allways comes down to the wire but this one takes the cake.

he played untill 1st series of 3rd q. got hurt. the kid that came in did one hell of a job. moved them lots better than grey and damn near pulled out the win.

Gonzales sounds as if they have a capable backup QB. They will play hard.
