Who wins?

I heard that Brazosport has a big QB. I wasa told he had a "Vince Young arm". Columbia loses a lot from last years team, but they always play B-Port tough.

My prediction...

Columbia 27
Brazosport 19

Brazosport 19 I can go for that prediction. Brazosport just can't get it together.

ill say columbia in a close one but it wouldnt surprise me if we played like crap in the first couple of games and lost due to the youth and new coach

btw, b'port(4a not a playoff team last year) lost 21-0 to b'wood (5a 3 rounds deep last year but did lose their qb) in a scrimmage last friday

I saw Brazosport in their first scrimmage (Manor). The QB is about 6'1" and 175, very quick. He has a fairly strong arm. He hit one long pass. Accuracy was maybe average, at best. Brazosport had a pretty good lucking FB type, caught ball out of backfield well. Not a lot of size on both lines.

the coaching change won't cause any problems....the system has not changed since the change. same offense and a few tweaks on defense due to lack of speed.....youth may play a factor, but i think the necks will be fine by district.

Brazosport 19 Then Columbia shouldn't have to worry much about defending the pass. Now if he had VY's legs it would be a different story. Columbia wins a close game...

the QB your referring to is named Melvin White...i watch this game from the pressboxes last year since i couldn't play and i must say he is very quick on his feet...i wouldn't be surprised if he gives the Columbia D fits...

I was an Exporter (varsity starter 87+88 seasons), Bport always has good athletes, but the program just does not build good teams! To many individuals and no team concept....No work ethic as a whole, some players do, but as a whole, they dont pay their dues....
