Elgin had a great game vs Manor . great defense played by the Wildcats all game. Big plays made by 11th grade DB Marquis Bailey, Manor lined up there best reciver Anthony Swain And Bailey pic him off 4 times in the first half. Ronald I'som helped the Wildcats attack by scoring 5 tds with the exception of 1 being called back great runing also by senior tailback Kirby Roberson who finished the game with over 100 yds rushing. Both teams had at least 4 turnovers,but this was the battle of highway 290 now the Wildcats face The old Buffs out of giddings also on highway 290, and Manor goes on to play Smithville good luck to both teams.

Could be a re-match comming for Elgin in play-offs with Navasota. We will find out how much the home field advantage affected the first contest. The only team to beat them at home was Brenham ( #1 team in 4A), and it looks bad for Columbus next week. I think Elgin wins at a neutral site. IMHO :cool:

Navasota did not play Brenham at home. That game was held in the astrodome.
