this play in my eyes would fall under unfair game tactics. rule book says a honest starting signal is needed. because the center starts this, and the coach is involved, it is not right. I would flag it.

Seems like I remember Burnet's JV team trying something like that one year. I'm pretty sure it got flagged though.:doh:

Clearly illegal under NCAA ruiles (which as most of you know are what is used in Texas), using equipment to deceive. Live ball foul, 15 yards from previous spot. It is hard for me to see it well enough but even the snap appears to be illegally done, meaning the play was dead before it even started.

I think from the comments onUTUBE it was in Kansas where the side snap is still legal.

Looks like an unsportsmanlike penalty to me, but not sure.

I don't think Calallen runs it any more, which leads me to believe it's no longer legal. But Walker ran it to perfection...

i believe coach merriitt did this with needville one time wen they were winning by like 50 points and it went for a td.......
