I have some friends near the coast and they say it might just happen. That's about as frightening a thought as Port Lavaca Calhoun in the post-season last year.

Palacios 19
Cuero 14

Wow, that even looks weird. :-)

Mike does a good job
he was at VV, VI (ended Sealy's run) and Sweeny
they may not be world beaters
but if he can find a little
they might make it
if the dist is right
which could be

Cuero 12-1 4-0 will breeze easily through the dist
Yoakum 5-6 2-2 depth may be a problem
Gonzales 3-8 3-1 new coach
Palacios 3-7 1-3 up and comming?
Goliad 2-8 0-5 in dist last year but in this weak dist everyone is a contender

not strong

he has 2 good lb'rs
and a running back
the line needs to come around
he will run the ball well
and play GREAT D, he is known for that
ask JT who was at Sealy
We beat him when I was at VV
but he did a great job on defense
always has

he has as good of a chance as the Sharks have had in a while
a turnover here or there
a drive killing penalty

there are 2 spots for 4 teams
and all the 4 are about even

I tried to find last years scores but it looks like all have updated their sites

I wouldnt count them out
2 out of 4

my nephew played under Mike, wasn't crazy about him but compared him to Zajicek who of course is back. I lived near VV in BC when he was an assistant at VV and he would make a great principal because of his military background

Tommy had a lot better players than Mike had
another factor
Sweeny doesnt run track anywhere like they used to
Coach Reid is gone
and that hurt that program big time
same with Tidehaven and George Nelson and Mike Pierce
Those programs look to never be as good as they were

If any team deserves to have a good year, it's the Sharks. They looked really good at 7 on 7.

I would like to see Palashus do well, too. :-)

You have to really hand it to Treybig. He's slowly building a program in a town where people come and go similar to the way it used to be in Copperas Cove. I wonder if half the roster names are "Nyugen." The shrimping industry there is huge.

But now it's 11 on 11 and the Sharks take 2nd in District followed by the Apaches...

just my thought...still very early to tell...everyone will need to be HEALTHY throughout the year...

Palacios fights for third place this year, Gonzales has a lot of athletic ability, and this will probably be Yoakum's most disappointing season in a long time.

They will have a good D, but it will be second to Cuero's in district, and it will get the a playoff spot, they only have to beat Yoakum and Goliad. I keep hearing about their D, but the only name that comes to mind is the kid going to A&M.

There won't be many surprises in this district.

The Talent pool at Palacios is VERY much different than at COVE. Palacios will NEVER share the same success that Cove has. T-big has made that program much stronger than in recent years. The sharks should make the playoffs this year.

My point is that both communities have or have had players whose fathers move frequently because of seasonal work (shrimping for Palacios and military in Cove's case until recently). Try not reading stuff so literally. I think it's become a DownLow edidemic.

anal epidemic huh lol

I agree
Cove has larger players in and out
The Sharks have smaller players in and out

both have a lot of player movement
just different kinds of players lol
