I was just about to post this.

They may be our rival, but we have prayers for their team right now.

this caught my eye

"They found a young man matching the suspect's description and brought him back to the scene, where he was identified by witnesses," Pair said.

Investigators are holding him for questioning at the homicide squad's headquarters on Lockwood, he said. The suspect is 19 and is from Louisiana.

Unfortunately its a matter of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

It's happened before and will happen again.

This is so sad. This young man had his whole life in front of him and a college education payed for, doing what he loved to do, playing football.

A tradegy indeed. Life is precious, yet so fragile, it can be lost in the blink of an eye over practically nothing. One must come away from an event like this with a heavy heart at how easily a promising young life can be just cast away.

My condolences and prayers to his family and friends.

Did any of yall read the comments from other readers at the end of the article??

There was one I found interesting written by a black man or woman, who said that racism wasn't their biggest problem but that the black community give themselves a bad name...or something to that effect.

I found it interesting anyway!!!

I apologize if this has been posted and I hope the link below works but I just read where Oklahoma Sooner recruit Herman Mitchell of Houston Westfield lost his life in a tragic manner. Sad news. :(
