McGee hurts throwing hand?

A friend (connected to the school) of mine was at A&M's practice yesterday and said McGee took a swing at a defender hitting him on the helment with his thowing hand. He said McGee was in ALOT of pain and they stopped practice, mentioned they are really going to try and keep this hush..hush. Also Bennett told the team he was turning pro after this season. Maybe Ketch has heard something about it too.

has anyone been able to get information that could confirm/deny report?

On UT's side, I heard about Limas, but I thought he was going to be able to play opening day. Maybe they're keeping him out until TCU just to be safe?

Reports as of this morning on Limas say he's out for three weeks, and opening day is in jeopardy...haven't heard anything about the McGee stuff.

McGee is completely healthy and went through all of the drills today at practice. The funny thing is, it was news to him when asked about it.

Plus Pittman out indefinitely w/ a sprained shoulder & Shipley nursing a hamstring again. Won't matter against Ark. State, but better get them back by TCU the next week on Sept. 8th. That will be a good ballgame in Austin.

1st I have heard about McGee...don't know as of now. Sure hope it is nothing.

Yes, but A&M had the better overall year if you count conference championships in all sports (7-6 I believe). Texas did win the mythical Cup based on a +/- system for scoring contests & some are weighted more heavily. For example, Texas won the only soccer contest in Austin but A&M won the Big 12 for the 3rd year in a row & advanced to the Elite 8 & about 2 minutes away from the Final 4 before North Carolina came back & went on to win it all. Hope that helps.

It does not, but both were listed correctly. I'll take a conference championship any day over head-up competition. The ring is what matters in the end. Some old school Aggies think differently, but I sure don't. I want to win conference championships that also hopefully include beating Texas along the way.

A&M only has 3 in it's school existance. 1 in football and 2 in softball. ;)

Last time a school other than Oklahoma or Texas won the Big XII south was in 1998 when your beloved Aggies won it.
