Forget that fat,overdulgent Babe!!! Hammerin' Hank will be the Greatest always and forever in my eyes!!! He did it with style,grace and dignity. Plus, he was getting racial slurs & death threats thrown at him on a daily basis,just because of the color of his skin!!! I'm not a fan of Bonds but steroids or not, it's still very hard to hit that little white ball coming at you at 90-95 mph!!!

Hank had and now Barry has (at least for awhile) the career home run record, and should be so acknowledged, but in comparing players from different eras you have to compare by how they performed against their peers from the same time period.
If you do this, the Babe is unquestionably the greatest home run of all time. As I've said on here b4, there were years that he hit more HRs than any other TEAM. By comparison, Barry B., instead of hitting 73 home runs in 2001, would have had to hit more like TWO HUNDRED and 73.

and last I checked, neither Barry nor Hank had 148 complete games as a starting pitcher.
