Man my employer sent me to Pittsburg, PA this week. I heard it went good. Several of the Soph's look like they will suit up on Friday nights.

I'll know more this weekend......

I think there were 5 soph's with varsity today, but I think there's a good chance a couple more could move up during the next week or so.

I believe two of the starters were already in a starters roll on the defensive line.

old rule
1 loss for every freshman on the field
1/2 a loss for every sophomore

ethier side of the ball
and if its a sophomore DT
instant trap

Probably so Burnet, but they must be really good to be on the varsity, or Rockdale is really hurting in upperclassman numbers.

Rockdale 80, good numbers in all classes then? If that is the case and the sophs are still on the varsity then they are pretty GOOD!!! Sophs do not sit, they play if up on the varsity, jmo.

instant trap Yea but the two sophomore defensive linemen are GOOD. One went to regionals in power lifting as a freshmen and Mack Brown approached him at the UT football camp this past summer to get his information.

The other is 6'3 270 and is dominent and has the quickest feet I have seen for a lineman that big in Rockdale's history, except for Stryker Sulak.

Greg Gerthe was 6'5 and about 280, full ride to Tulane. Not too bad for a big boy from the Rock. He graduated in 95 I believe.

I apologize, Gerthe graduated in 94. Swartz was also on that line, he played D2 or 3 ball as well.

usually some of both

Good soph and poor senior

or not a lot of seniors
small upper classes
numbers

there are a lot of factors
but if they played as freshman on the varsity
make that a 1/4 loss because thay have some experience
and playing time is a factor
they may slpit time
start but not play all the time

many different factors

When I was a senior we had two Sophs that were starting Def. Tackles, and those boys were tough. 4 sophs starting on defense on a squad that went 10-3. I would say there are sophs out there that can play.

right now we have three sophs on our varsity, two are already starting defense apparently, one is fighting for offensive starting. All three are big and strong, none are lineman. When this group is seniors look for three potential all state athletes. All three hit like experienced seniors and act like it too.

Stryker Sulak weighed 210 though, there is a big difference....
