There are probably more than a couple of District winners playing each other in round 1 of D1.

Nope...

Wharton (District Champs in 28-3A) and Cuero (District Champs in 27-3A) are playing this Friday night in Victoria...

That's kinda neato...

D1 has 25, 26, 27, and 28 bringing a district championship to the pool (in a row)... Too bad 29 didn't bring one, that'd be neat, because 30's bring District Champs Sinton to the D1 mix...

I forgot that Wharton was District Champs in their District, so then to answer your question deeone, no Somerset and Burnet are not the only two District Champ teams playing each other. LOL Thanks for reminding me about Wharton Gobbla! LOL :D
